Hi, my name is Aida Ley. Why did I start Aida and give it my name? To create a sense of belonging and ownership.

I discovered my love for knitting when I was just 16 years old. After moving from Brazil to Canada, I started learning new languages, and I found knitting to be the most fascinating one! I quickly became fluent and began teaching lessons and translating patterns for magazines like Anny Blatt Fashion. As I explored knitting, I realized I wanted to break free from traditional designs and create something fresh.

Years later, I worked in knitting boutiques in Montreal and Beverly Hills, where I learned to craft classic patterns while also pushing my creative limits. Eventually, I opened my boutique in Beverly Hills called AIDA LEY. Over the next two decades, I designed custom pieces for celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor and Barbra Streisand. Knitting became my dream come true.

Today, I draw inspiration from nature's bold colors and love mixing different yarns. I focus on comfort and versatility, creating unique pieces for women of all sizes. With great pride, I continue to craft my designs in Los Angeles, ensuring each piece is a cherished work of wearable art that I hope you’ll love.
