Founded in 2002 and based in Denver, Colorado, the idea of BAM Bags® was a unique combo of art and architecture. Our brand was founded by an accomplished architect turned designer, Beth A. Metsch. Her artistic vision turns everyday accessories into pieces of functional art.

While she was practicing architecture in New York City, Beth started creating limited-edition leather handbags, diaper bags, and fabric totes.

Her passion project quickly turned into a full-time business that is now driven by customer demand and has a reputation for diligent craftsmanship and bold design.

Our standout innovation, the ZIPPURSE®, is created from a single continuous zipper and has earned three US patents. This signature design was originally inspired by Beth’s mother and reflects the ingenuity, beauty, and humor that define us as a brand.

Our founder has also traveled to more than 27 countries, and her designs reflect the inspirations she took from the architecture, cultures, and colors of these places.
