The journey of Big Bear Honey, founded by Jacob and Kelly Bonnema, started in 1997 in Zeeland, Michigan. It was the mutual love and care for honeybees, dedication to support local beekeepers, and sharing the sweetness of life that established our brand.

The stage was set with Jacob’s background of living on a family dairy farm and Kelly’s outdoor experiences, plus community services. Both of them love nature and helping others. Today, three decades have passed, and both still work side by side to make this brand what it is.

We are proud to offer premium honey products such as raw honey, flavored varieties, honey mustard, creamed honey, and more. In addition, we have further expanded our product line to honey-infused skincare such as skin balms, lip balms, and soaps.

Being a family-owned and run business, we can proudly say that all our honey is pure, raw, unfiltered, and freshly harvested in Michigan. Each batch is packed with love and care as if it were intended for our own table.
