Cenia Newyork was born out of creative head Cenia Paredes in 2009. She grew up in the Dominican Republic in a family that loved dressmaking. From a young age, she helped her mom choose fabrics, fit dresses, and sketch designs for customers. By age 11, Cenia was fully involved in the dress business, doing her part to help her family.

When she moved to the USA at 20, Cenia graduated with honors from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2004. She got experience working for well-known brands in New York but always dreamed of starting her own line. In 2009, she launched her first ready-to-wear collection, Cenia New York®, which offers four unique fits for different body types, making women feel elegant and confident in their curves.

Cenia participated in The Workshop at Macy’s in 2011 and soon expanded her business worldwide. In 2023, she opened her flagship store in Ridgewood, NJ, showcasing her designs along with a bridal salon. Cenia aims to change women's clothing by making it comfortable and stylish, focusing on fit, innovation, and sustainability. She believes every woman deserves to express herself confidently through fashion.
