In 1987, Robert (Bob) Secrist conceived the idea of Desperate Enterprises and founded the business in Northeast Ohio. As an entrepreneur, Bob was a nostalgic person with a passion for collecting signage and antique advertisements.

Since the company’s existence branched out from sentimental values, the sole purpose of the brand was to reproduce classic American advertising legacy as metal signs.

Another integral part of our mission is to make these signs available to all at affordable rates, because everyone deserves these artworks. As a result, this is why we initiated our brand with 6 signs and sold them at flea markets.

Confident in delivering a premium quality product and the ability to let our audience travel back in time allowed our business to grow tenfold.

Today, with 830 unique designs, the distribution of our products has a global clientele. Furthermore, we create two types of designs, rectangular and round. While the rectangular ones are 12.5’’x16, the round ones have an 11.75’’ diameter.
