Spark Innovations was founded in 2017 by Leah Schwed, a speech and language pathologist who began her career working with school-aged children facing various language challenges after completing her master’s degree.

The idea for Spark came from a clear gap Leah noticed in the curriculum. There was a lack of engaging and effective tools that helped kids learn language in a fun and meaningful way.

After years of hands-on experience and effort, her vision became reality with the launch of the award-winning Spark Cards in 2018. What began as a simple idea turned into a valuable tool now used by parents, therapists, and educators to teach core language skills in a fun and exciting way.
